| Can I learn about the history of the Town? Yes, Thre is a wonderful little museum at the west end of Town. Stop in between 11 - 5 and talk with one of the volunteers and visit the displays. There are also Civil War bike and Walking trails, clearly marked through out the town as well as historical markers for you to stop at as you walk along the streets of this quaint town. Lots of History and an occassional ghost or two!!
| | What types of businesses are in historic Occoquan? Antiques, Art Galleries, Spas, Gift Shops, Jewelry Stores, Clothing Stores, Country Craft, Bookstores, Wine Shops, Gourmet Food Markets, Restaurants... and many more.
| | Can I go fishing in the river? Yes, many locals and visitors fish near the location of the town museum at the end of Mill Street. Just have a valid PWC fishing license. You may even buy bait supplies at the small general store located at the corner of Gordan Blvd. and Washington St. as you enter town. Please, just remember to keep the site clean by picking up after yourself and have a great time.
| | Can I dock my boat in town? Yes. The town has free docking for our boating visitors. The docks are located at the east end of town near the new 123 bridge. Dock your boat, wander through the town and spend a pleasant day in Occoquan.
